I have spent more than 40 years in cable and broadband, starting in field operations and eventually managing construction, field teams, contractors, and network infrastructure programs.
I spent 16 years with Pavlov Media, including leadership roles in Field Operations and Infrastructure, supporting apartment communities and student housing nationwide.
Today I work directly with owners, property managers, developers, providers, and integrators on site assessments, repairs, upgrades, and MDU network projects.

Experience: 16 years with Pavlov Media in roles including Regional Technical Manager, Director of Field Operations, Director of Infrastructure, Project Manager, and Construction Manager. Earlier field experience includes cable plant, fiber, line maintenance, troubleshooting, and construction.
What I take on
Physical site surveys and infrastructure assessments
I inspect the property and document the network infrastructure that is actually in place, including conduit paths, risers, telecom closets, power and grounding, cable and fiber types, and existing conditions.
I also identify what can reasonably be reused and where repairs or upgrades are needed.
Typical deliverable: A property infrastructure report with photographs, field notes, condition findings, discrepancies from existing drawings, and prioritized recommendations. Useful for acquisitions, capital planning, provider changes, and older properties with limited documentation.Repair and restoration
I troubleshoot outages and recurring network problems across the provider connection, outside plant, cabling, and network equipment.
Work may include fiber or copper repair, splicing and termination, failed switches or access points, storm damage, dig-ins, and intermittent faults.
Typical deliverable: Documentation of the failure, cause, repair performed, and any recommended follow-up work.Network equipment upgrades
Replacement and upgrade of switches, routers, access points, firewalls, cameras, access-control equipment, and related infrastructure.
Where equipment replacement affects residents or building operations, I plan the cutover and downtime before work begins.
Typical deliverables: Cutover plan, equipment labeling, rack and closet documentation, and updated network records.Cabling and fiber infrastructure
Copper and fiber infrastructure including CAT6 and 6A, multimode and singlemode fiber, riser and horizontal cabling, splicing and termination, conduit and sleeves, fire-stopping, racks, patch panels, grounding, and pathway work.
Typical deliverables: Test results, labeling, updated documentation, and removal or remediation of abandoned infrastructure where required.MDU project and construction management
I can manage the network portion of an MDU project from planning through closeout.
That can include scope development, budgets, schedules, design review, bid packages, contractor selection, permitting, make-ready coordination, utility coordination, field oversight, change orders, testing, punch lists, as-builts, and owner handoff.
Project reporting: Clear updates covering schedule, budget, current work, upcoming work, issues, and decisions required.Provider and ISP coordination
After 16 years working for a multifamily broadband provider, I understand how provider field operations, dispatch, construction, and escalation processes work.
I work with providers on outages, construction issues, service transitions, bulk agreements, scheduling, and unresolved field problems.

This can include capital planning, infrastructure recommendations, provider and bulk-internet evaluations, proposal reviews, and second opinions on projects already underway.

How I got here
Early career
Toledo, Buckeye CableSystem
I started working in cable in Toledo and spent my early career in the field: line maintenance, fiber splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and construction.
2008 to 2024
Pavlov Media
In 2008 I joined Pavlov Media and spent the next 16 years working primarily in multifamily and student housing. My roles included Regional Technical Manager, Director of Field Operations, Director of Infrastructure, Project Manager, and Construction Manager.
That experience gave me both sides of the work: understanding the infrastructure itself, and managing the people, contractors, schedules, budgets, and providers required to get the work completed.
Today
Central Florida
I am now based in Groveland and taking on contract and project work throughout Central Florida.
